New FOW option needed at game start

#1. I love this game and its mechanics but I have issues with new game start plausibility.

I would love a new game start option for FOW that is adjustable in a hex radius. The options now are sort of all or nothing. So when I start game the fow is revealed based on how many hexes I choose this allows me to customize my fow based on my type of game start, like a colony vs an established city. The colony I would set for less fow the established city more fow. (as in trade and travel plausability) This would also make different planet sizes much more interesting if you only wanted some start fow (like you might know about in a radius from your start city from trade and travel) but not all revealed

It would be nice to have 2 options, like seeing ALL (Roads/towns) in your hex radius and terrain only past that setting or terrain in a hex radius and none past that.

We lived on this planet how many years my trucks roll out the first day from a 100k person city and explore this area that no one has ever seen?

I want some fow but not all revealed. The options currently are too much fow than I would like or too little (yes even out all 4 options available)

I really think that Shadow Empire would benefit from a game start FOW Hex radius setting.

Not essential IMO, but that would be nice. I would probably play with that setting if it was available.
