so final thoughts?

well a epic game and a epic battle, rough terrain, and hard tasks to do, but do some planning and careful leadership and management, and anything possible, can you do better?

try, either way enjoy

so now we have a end game, lets look at what we see, and why we do what we do, and when, or for what reason etc

turn 1, Victory points screen, is to me a very important screen,if not the most important, as it shows what battle objectives you need to do to win, or draw at least, so plan everything from Turn t1 to a end game with this in mind, don't fight just the men in front of you from the other side, as that's a blood bath, or can be, but also you can't not block them or not engage them either.

Air, either learn to use it, or like me while learning, just let the AI do it for you with some simple commands, eg what are you doing at the time, and what's needed, don't ask the AI to plan for a landing, if your not doing one etc etc.

supply, this does come before fighting, as no matter what side you pick and what unit you have, it's only a pile of junk without supplies, so again, t1, plan where or what direction your supply needs to be coming from and get repairing some roads and rails etc...

finally, we fight, plan with VP locations info on what direction you first need to go in, and plan on traveling and fighting for a reason, not just because something is in your way, as can you go around? bypass it? surround it etc?

the more directions you attack a unit from, the less the damage to yourself and the more to them, most of the time, if you totally surround it, and block not only it's supply and HQ, the better, as your losses with again be less.

don't fight a battle at all, if you can find terrain which suits you better, hold on poor ground, and move to attack on better, if you have to do a attack on poor terrain / ground attack etc, plan for it, with extra hitting power and more support units in the mix, don't throw tanks into towns and cities, unless you wish to lose most of them, tanks like fighting other tanks, with everything, use air power as support as much as possible, and plan to rotate and rest units which have fought, including air units.

if your blocked anywhere and can't move, plan on support or a landing either sea or air elsewhere to ease the pressure of lesson the frontage and depth of lines, works in almost every battle tbh.

enjoy, just some small minor tips before you go onto larger and harder fights.

if there's a certain battle you'd like to see a AAR on by me, just ask, and if and when i get the time, i'll add it into a testing plan for the game and do one
