Mortars against helicopters

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. Mortars against helicopters

I was playing with a few scenarios trying to figure out the best way to deal with soviet helicopters.To my surprise, even mortars engage helicopters. The hit chance is given as 4%. Really!?
I downed 3 Hinds in this specific scenario, one with the 7.62 on the Warrior at reasonably close range, another again with a 7.62, but this time mounted on a tank. Last one with off-map artillery!They fired multiple times until they got it.

But as I mentioned before the most surprising was the mortar team trying to hit the Hind, from more than 4km away with the 81mm mortar!!!

Ironically my 3 Javelin teams did not fire once, for one reason or another!

There is a small chance of helos getting hit if they are on the move through a shelled hex, and it is a slightly bigger chance it they are sitting still. ICM being a cluster munition, can also wreck them pretty fast with all of the submunitions.
