Helicopter Movement

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Helicopter Movement

Post by MOS96B2P »

There are two movement choices for helicopters, deliberate and hasty. I think I understand how these movement types work for ground units. Not so sure about helicopters. What is the preferred movement type for helicopters?

Deliberate keeps the helos low and uses available masking cover when moving to improve protection and reduce detection from enemy assets. Hasty is more direct line over the cover movement. It is faster point to point, but leaves you more exposed to enemy fire and detectiom.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
