Flashpoint Campaigns Community Content

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

These are all the files that were hosted on our OTS website before our web host inadvertently "lost" our site. Lots of great additions from players and OTS!
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Great to see this but ...

Unfortunately all the links take me to an Admin Login page which doesn't accept my details (presumably because I'm not an admin).

I did not want to buy this game but the desire to adapt the scenarios of operation flashpoint convinced me and for now I do not regret my purchase.

Rich, we are trying to alert Matrix to the problem. Hopefully, get resolved soon. You can go to the Members area and login in and go to the Registered link to get to the file.

rico21, Glad you like it! [8D]

Rich, you can register your game code from Steam at Matrix these days. If you have an older version of the game before the codes where added you should be able to request one from Matrix. I'm working to get someone at Matrix to add those processes to the post.

Hello Matrix Folks,

So, if you purchased FRS on Steam, you cannot download this content because the Key from Steam won't work. Is that it? Well, why is that? Why am I able to register Germany Reforged but NOT FRS? All I want is the contents available to everyone else who has purchased both items. Can I get it please?

Where do I find the game code in Steam?

I know some games within steam have a link to obtain the 'CD Key' but not FCRS (nor any of the numerous other Matrix games I have on Steam).

Why don't Matrix just make the downloads available in a public section of the FTP site?
Would be very easy to do - public FTP is generally very straightforward to set up and would solve a lot of these unnecessary issues.

Rich, It's the Way Matrix wants to do things and we will have to go with that for now. I am trying to get some more information from them on how Steam users can register and get into the files.

Thanks Capn Darwin. I appreciate it is mostly out of your hands.

I just wish Matrix would think these things through a little more ...! It's not like having the files publicly available would be a problem, as you need to own the game to make use of them.

Hopefully something will get resolved before too long.

Hi Rich,

These are downloads for owners of the game and the Members Club has worked very well for that - once you register, you get access to any beta updates and other extra content. When we first launched the game, Steam would not give us any way of allowing Steam buyers to register at our site. That's possible if you purchase the game now, but we'll have to see what we can do (it's a manual process and therefore not instant) if you fall into the group that purchased before Steam made such codes available.

Regards,

- Erik

Hi Erik,

I'm sure you're going to do your best. However, let me make a suggestion that may save you some work. This content, you say, is available to the Members Club and to the owner of the game. I am both. I own a couple of dozen games from Matrix. The only thing that's stopping me is the Steam Key (which I purchased in good faith) won't work to register my paid for game on the Matrix site. The solution is obvious. Send me a serial number that will allow me to register on the site or you register me from your end. Doesn't seem very difficult to me.

Sincerely,

That's generally the manual process - but it's handled by our support folks as they have the tools to confirm Steam ownership. I've already pointed them at this thread, best way to speed that along if you have not already done so is to put in a Help Desk ticket.

Thanks to remind that Korean theater map plan, and so sorry for being late XD Being a dad and adjusting to new job is really tough, these days I just can't concentrate to any serious hobbies... Simply there's not enough time :( Hopefully, I will return to map making again, before FCS:SS launches.... Thank you and sorry OTS~!

Hi guys,

Any chance the OP could be updated to include a small sample of what each map/gfx mod looks like?

Thx

I have an issue with the zip file of the "Campaign - The Black Rats" : it tells me there's an error when I want to extract it, and it doesn't extract all the file, so I think the archive is broken (I tried to download it several times).

But except this small issue, thanks a lot for all of that, in addition to the update :D
