Not in the game but in real life.

In case you have missed the news.

Wow! It is great :)I was thinking some time ago if it is possible for a planet to be orbiting a star, which is orbited by another star on a more distant orbit than the planet itself. Technicly it is not what I was thinking about... But it is much, much better and more incredible!

Now... Can somebody find a planet which have a natural satelite, which will have his own natural satelite? :) Any volounters? ^^ (I have read somewhere that such thing is simply impossible... But word "impossible" is not an answer for me - at least most of time)

Amazing stuff, I was pleasantly surprised when this came on the news earlier today and then right after it was news that a bunch of teenagers found an ancient man on the beach today! Some interesting news for once. [:)]

How should a satellite of a satellite be impossible? The moon is a satellite of a planet circling around the star. Going up from a three body movement to a four body movement is not that hard. The chance that it "happened" in a creation process is not so slim either. There are enough stars for one to have hit it off. All you need is some nice asteroid showers with smaller planetoids to crush into several objects.

And that is why I simply do not believe that this is impossible. Especially when we will add that we are capable of making not natural satelites that will be orbiting a satelite. I do not remember where I was reading it, and I do not remember why it is "impossible". I only remember that more or less they pointed out gravitation of a planet to be the reason.

Our moon is escaping into the dark space too. Maybe Jupiter looks tastier than us. But these processes take million and sometimes billion of years. Sure it is impossible for any object to hold another forever unless both are cold lumps of ice orbiting each other without any other gravity source within.

Still a moon can have a moon. He needs to be a big moon and needs a little distance to its mother planet to keep his small pet for several million years or longer, but it is possible.

If the moon goes, the tides wont work and we wont have werewolves [:(]

Don't worry its about 1cm per year. Sure the speed grows in the square every million years, but it won't be serious anytime soon. Actually we humans could stop it by then. We just need to make the moon heavier or propuls it through a darkside mirror when he passes the sun, which would press him to us again by deflecting the sunrays.

My guess is the vampires killed the last werewolves before then.
