I decided to defend the upper part of the map since resources were scarce. Only the command team was at a good level. Both ad-hoc, AT and MG infantry teams were low to fair morale. Rounding out the resources were an AT gun and StugIIIG assault gun.

I had all units set to ambush, except for the AT gun and StugIIIG which were set to defend. Both units had lengthy lines of sight. As the Allies slowly advanced, the StuGIIIG took out an armored car as it neared the center of the map.

Eventually, the command Sherman appeared which was also destroyed by StugIIIG. At this point I was pretty happy since I wasn't sure what to expect. The road now seemed to be blocked.

Allied units continued to move forward however the MG team was posted in a 4 story church w/another long LOS. Their scout team advanced and casualties were taken.

A Sherman Firefly appeared in the field adjacent to the other two wrecks. My instincts told me to retreat the StuGIIIG since I knew it was no match. However, I decided to wait it out. I heard a very loud PING as the StugIIIG got the first shot in but was destroyed.

Shortly thereafter, the Command unit reported the troops were losing morale. Watching their health monitors turn orange, I realized these troops with no armor support were no match against an armored assault. I decided to begin a slow retreat off the map. However when a Sherman V appeared near the middle of the map, the AT gun (which was positioned near the top of the map) destroyed it. The allies requested a cease fire and I gladly hit the truce button since I was expecting to lose the entire map.
