That all looks fine. This is very odd - esp as you were able to run the game before.

Can I prevail on you to try installing the Steam version - you should be able to get a Steam key from your Matrix version? I'm just trying to work out what is going on and the comparisons might help.

Pip: Steam does not activate with the license key I use when installing my Matrix version (I tried pasting and typing) :(

Hi Pip,

I was able to get a Steam activation license, but installing from Steam resulted in the same shader error message as before.

I have been through multiple upgrades of Windows and the video drivers since I first encountered my error, but always end up with the same shader error when trying to play a game with v1.11.0. However, today I got thrown a newer error after clicking the "No" button on the shader error dialog box that I do not recall seeing before:

That's to some extent what I would expect - if it can't compile the shader, then it just errors out. Yours is a very (very) odd bug - nothing at all changed wrt the shader compilation etc. in the update, and yet you are seeing this issue - as far as we can tell the only person who is.

Are you perhaps running any other software that might interfere (reshader, etc)? I doubt it, but still...

I just made sure that no other apps were launched, but still the same result. Undoubtedly, there are numerous background processes running that I did not explicitly start.

Did we get you to try reinstalling DX9? Can you please run this installer:

You need to extract first, then run it.
