Updated?

Post by Zovs »

I have installed CS ME a number of years ago and just recently downloaded the v2.31.02 update and applied it but when I display the about dialog I see:

v1.31.02

Is this normal?

Do I need to uninstall the prior version and then run the CampaignSeriesMiddleEast-UpdateComp-v2.31.02.exe file?

Yes, that's normal, an accident, but normal.

That's the current Vietnam revision ID, it slipped into the final Middle East build.

We are keeping them releasing with updates at the same time, so this error slipped under the radar.

Thanks Jason! That relieves my worried mind, I just applied the update and I do have a lot of folders/files in my MODS folder for JSGME to use, and well glad I don't have to shuffle stuff around after uninstalling right now.

Really looking forward to winter update. Chris's query prompted me to fire up CS ME again and man I do love what you have done. Can't way for EF III.

I've even managed to find an opponent for CSME who bought the game in the current sale. We are all set to go for a PBEM next week. I can't wait - it's been too long.

We are thinking about starting with the Battle of al-Karameh. Looking for a smallish, interesting game that has wins on both sides reported at The Blitz site. But if anyone has an idea for a good, somewhat even scenario to start with that isn't too big we would be interested. We would like to play the scenarios blind so not easy to look at them before playing.

Thanks,
Chris

To get some practice, there are some tournament scenarios included near the bottom of the list that would be good for PBEM. Give them a whirl!!
