This fine game needs an update. Firstly, the current scenarios should be updated to include supply and recovery/repair vehicles. Tanks can wade through fords. All engineers should be able to lay only a limited amount of mines without resupply. They should also be able to clear mines and obstacles and demolish and repair bridges. Infantry should be able to amphibious ops.

Secondly, the skirmish maps for wilderness and farm land should include rivers with fords. Behind the lines partisan troops would be an interesting touch.

All this increases complexity which can be overcome by using a player promotion system where battle success brings promotion gradually increasing game complexity and player resources. Then one could really start calling the game "Academy".
