Carrier Grp icon question

Post by MrDave »

I've had this game a while and decided to actually learn how to play it since I can't seem to get WitPAE to do well on my PC.
1. What does the orange circle around ports signify? I can't see to find it described in the manual.

2. On the Carrier Grp icon, there is a pale blue bar under the name of the carrier grp. To the left there is a number in a circle, i.e."6". to the far right there is a number % i.e. 50%. If you hover over this bar the text "carrier planes" is displayed. Again, I can't seem to find any explanation in the manual.

Please help an season salt understand this.

1. Those circles indicate major ports size five and up.

2. The number in the circle is the strength factor of the carrier group's air squadron. The percentage indicates the experience of that air squadron.
