Hunting Day

The mission, Hunting Day, seems to have a couple of problems, I believe.

For one thing the planes in the northernmost airport don’t have enough range to get to where they can do anything. That doesn’t seem to be relevant to the scenario’s purpose.

Also, the briefing says that the object is to eliminate the column. I’ve eliminated the column completely and I have hardly any points at all. It seems like the only points you ever get is for killing the radars. That’s not consistent with what the briefing describes as the main purpose.

Maybe I missing something though?

That sounds like a scenario specific problem. You may have better luck on the original thread over in the Scenario forum: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... M#p3275158

This is one of the ones put together by the "PdL Design Team", I'm not sure anyone of them is still current on the forum, but it is an old scenario (2013) originally put together for CMANO, so it probably hasn't been looked at in a long while.

Not to be a smart Alec, but is there a list somewhere of scenarios that actually work currently?

I must’ve played three or four of them in the last week that had some sort of error, apparently caused by updates.

It would be good to know which ones have actually been played. I’m in the dumb guy, green scenarios.

There are hundreds in the Community pack and dozens undergoing testing at any time. I can say that the ones I've done generally work but there is nobody undertaking the monstrous task of checking them all every update. If they don't work report it to the author if you can find one (listed on the CP spreadsheet). They're all free so buyer beware.

Just a quick update. I was wrong when I said I eliminated the collumn. I eliminated what I knew about but there were more that I didn’t see. So the game works fine in that regard.

I still do think, however, that the fueling situation makes no sense. The base has plenty of drop tanks and so those are the ones that should’ve been loaded at the beginning of the scenario, I believe. However, the designer might’ve thought that making the player wait was a better option. Who knows?
