Problem with Build 1307.11

Post by HalfLifeExpert »

Hi,

I tried loading up Build 1307.11 to try out the new targeting priority, but I ran into an issue that forced me to reinstall Command.

Basically, upon loading the program, I got an error message about a missing BMNGv2 file in the WW file.
Upon closing that small window, the main menu window did not load (though the basic window of command did load behind it. I was able to close Command no problem with the X button.

Just reverting back to build 1307.9 didn't fix it, so I had to completely reinstall Command and now it's working.

I'll Just wait a little before doing the public betas, in case a file was forgotten in the patch

Its not 1307.11 on its own that is the issue. My 1307.11 runs fine. So no missing files. This sounds like a mismatched directory issue during the install of the 1307.11 beta. I get that error message whenever the exe can't find the map files. when its hit me, its when I have put the update in the wrong directory.

Hmm that's strange. I installed the Beta patch in the exact same way I always do, and this would be the first time something like this happened.

Here's my steps (I have the Steam version installed):

1) After downloading the Zip File with the beta patch, unzip it to the Desktop

2) Open the unzipped folder, and open the Command Directory in a second folder alongside.

3) Cut/Paste the Patch files into the directory, overwriting as needed.
