Squashed Buttons on Comms & Datalink Menu

Post by FifthDomain »

Good Morning

Build: 1544
DB: DB3K_510

The Add/Remove Comm device buttons are currently squashed on the Communication and Datalinks Menu. See Image below. Adjustment of box size makes no difference.

2560 x 1440 On center monitor and 1920 x 1080 on the other 2.

Edit just tried at 1920 x 1080 on all monitors and its the same. Also applies to weapons window but was going to do a seperate post for each one.

Just curious what your DPI settings are for command.exe? I had to change mine after a recent Win11 update.

Are these the setting of the computer or in the game itself?

If in game where do i find the setting, i can see it mentioned in the manuel under Game Options > General > DPI Scaling but there does not seem to be that option ingame.

If my general windows settings it's just at 100%.

I have run the 4KFix.exe with the following message "Command.exe appears to already be properly configured for high-DPI environment. Press any key to exit." been displayed.

Affected menus Currently are Comms, Weapons, Magazine of Air and Naval Facilities (Single Unit) as well as Units, Docking Facilities and Boat Status. I have checked all other menus and they don't appear to have any issues.

No integrated graphics just running NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. Driver: Version 572.16, Release date 01/30/2025. Ingame Overlay and Image Scaling both turned off. All steam overlays also turned off.

Thanks for your time, any further information or Imagery just let me know and i'll add it.

Its under properties when you right click on the command.exe icon either on your desktop or in the command folder.

I remember seeing a similar case on our Discord a few days back, have a look and see if this helps: https://discord.com/channels/5576673914 ... 4724442144

It's just set to what the 4K Fix changes it to but i have tried all other options including rolling back to 1527 with verify integrity of game files to see if that helped. It does give 3 options there i tried all three as well as disabling it. Am i looking at the correct bit as shown in the image below. Thank you.

I have tried that Dimitris thank you unfortunately it stayed the same, i am using the steam version as mentioned in the thread but it didn't change with the creation of desktop shortcut as mentioned.

I get some interface oddities like this along with some of the input boxes being misaligned causing the first few characters to be hidden when I use RDP to connect to machine from my laptop at 1920x1200 resolution. At 1920x1080 using Moonlight it works just fine.

I would say all bets are off if you are trying to stream CMO from another PC. There are tones of idiosyncrasies in most streaming apps. My son uses streaming for his PS5 games to a handheld and you see glitches all the time based bandwidth and graphics support.
