P-700 Granit guidance modes

Re-reading The Sixth Battle again reminded me of the Shipwreck P-700 Granit missile guidance mode where (allegedly) when launched in a group, one climbs to a higher altitude where it scans and designates targets for other missiles flying low, being linked in a type of network.
They can also attack targets in order of priority after taking out the original target...which I think the harpoon can also do or am I thinking of something else ?

Just wondering if this sort of data communications and auto priority implemented in any form in Command or likely to be ?

I believe the P-700 (and its older brother, the P-500 Bazalt) have a missile-to-missile datalink simulated in the game. As for the different guidance modes, I do, unfortunately, not know. I'll test it tomorrow and let you know.

Did some testing with salvos of both P-500 and P-700 missiles- neither shows the behavior you asked for above.

I doubt that the "one high missile scanning for the others" profile is simulated, but FWIW, I have had great experiences using the missile on bearing-only launches. Each missile has a fairly generous sensor coverage while cruising on the deck, a gaggle of them launched in this manner is quite capable of taking out many ships in a group, even well defended ones, and even ones spaced quite far apart due to what I assume is a home-on-jam or other passive guidance capability.

I once had a group of these missiles attack a surface group, causing havoc, including one missile turning 90 degrees in the middle of the surface group to attack (and sink) an outlying escort.

Indeed, the P-700 has a passive radar sensor modelled. I had no idea they were that maneuverable however, and i'm honestly quite surprised about that, given their weight (over 7t each!).
