Checking the supply route. These truck drivers must have been taxi drivers in a touristic city in a previous life ...

It looks like you don't have patrols right near the start where the lines should go south. Is that why? Is it possible there is an enemy unit somewhere?

No there isn't any opponent nearby. That's the supply route to the supply base I captured in Wiltz by the way. My troops in the vicinity are security bn that have no AP, we are well behind the front line at the start of the battle. There isn't any orange truck symbol signaling the presence of enemy troops nearby anyway.

Last turn Wiltz was in green supply, I checked when I saw it was yellow now and discovered this 32 km detour. I saw no rational explanation.

Here are two other screenshots. I tested if I can use the 6 hexes junction.

As you can see, the second one is again very strange but it uses the incriminated road.

According to the manual, road congestion may play a role. Not that it mentions how or why, but perhaps it explains it?

There are no symbols of road congestion on these routes. You can see some on the screenshots, but none on the shortest path.
