Bug Beta 50: AD Intensity of Separate ADs linked

Post by MarkShot »

As I understand it, setting the intensity for an AD should be specific to that AD; either low, medium, or high which defines the the strike number.

However, I have 4 recon missions, and when I change intensity for one the other 3 also change. The only way I see to get around this is to set a custom strike number.

Is this how it is supposed to work?

Thanks.

Not sure, I will have to ask Pavel. I think it is normal that it resets the air doctrine when you change it, but I don't remember if he intended that it would then change all ADs in the same air command.

I'll let you know for sure once I hear back from Pavel, but I do think it is WAD that all non-custom ADs of a given type, in an air command, will use the last set intensity. Basically changing the intensity of an AD, changes the air doctrine of that air command to match, and all the ADs of that type are updated to match the air doctrine. The only way to get around this is to set a custom intensity level for an AD.

Just trying out WITW.

It seems to always default to MEDIUM intensity for RECON (no matter the doctrine). But like WITE-2, if you change one AD for an air command, then all others change too.

But there is also a bug in WITW, since after changing, if you scroll the mouse over the AD box on the map, it always show MEDIUM intensity (even though a change has been recorded).

One does not find this bug in WITE-2, since the mouse over the AD box does not contain intensity or days of the week. Actually, a very handy feature that was lost from WITW. (much easier to quickly check your work)

Thanks for looking into this.

Pavel states:

Intensity is set as air doctrine setting only, so it applies to all ADs.

So the way it works now is WAD. Use custom for any AD where you don't want to use the intensity level set for the Air Command.
