Is there a Discord to quickly answer questions and where to start.

Greetings,
I have not played grand strategy such as this and wanted to know where I can go to 1) learn the basics, 2) find others to ask questions about mechanix and gameplay.
I have played Advanced Squad Leader since the early 90s and love its complexity and variability. Does War in the East 2 have variable outcomes, or is the final game always resolved the same? In ASL, we have scenarios, and either side can win if the balance is roughly 50/50 or even 60/40 if you are a good player and can work terrain.
Does this community here or elsewhere have a discord I can add to chat with?
Where can I start to read/view how to play and get started with this game?
Lastly, there are two fronts with this author, East and West. I was going to start with the Eastern Front but was curious if the Western Front was better.

Thanks for your patience.

There are several guys that make YouTube vids which are very helpful. Two of them are still posting informative videos of the game--there are dozens--and those are needed.

There is a discord site but have not joined it. I may. I just recently bought this game--it is a bit on the "deep" side.
