Can the ai handle bombardment or slavery?

Post by fruitgnome »

Does the ai use bombardment or slavery? If yes in what game settings? If no, please fix it.
I mean the ai can't handle both but I prefered to ask you.

The AI will bombard but rarely do so and when they do the only bombard very little.

I also don't think the AI use slavery... probably also generally good as slavery is not good to use unless under some specific circumstances if you need cash now rather than more later.

I've seen responses elsehwhere that the AI does very rarely bombard. But I think this needs to be tuned WAY up - I've never seen it myself. Not every species, obviously, but definitely the more aggressive ones.

yh - i think some work needs to be done in these two areas.

Something that really annoys me is that I have never seen an ai Dhayut enslave others. Which shouldn't necessarily always be the case - but it should at least be often as it is kind of their thing, and especially as it is one of their goals. This really irritates me!

Also, I think these kind of things would have an overall positive effect on diplomacy, give more diplomatic races reason to ally and go to war. Diplomacy as it is - I feel is need of much love. *fingers crossed*

We're intending to make improvements to how the AI interacts with population policies in the future.

In Distant Worlds -Universe, Dhayuts enslaved other races and renamed worlds to "Penal Colony". I hope you can bring such changes, it really adds to that galactic immersion.
It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly, than to live somebody else's life with perfection.
