Valor & Victory: Pacific is now available on PC

Post by NotTooBad »

The Pacific War was a theater of immense strategic importance, with nations vying for control over key territories and vital supply routes.

Valor & Victory: Pacific plunges you into this theater of war, where the forces of Japan and China join the fray.

Discover the difficulties faced by Australian troops as they resisted the unrelenting Japanese assault and eventually launched their own counteroffensive via the dangerous Kokoda Trail.
Assist the US Marines in defending the Henderson airfield perimeter against wave after wave of Japanese attacks. Fight against reinforced Japanese defenders who refuse to surrender. And battle with Chinese forces in an offensive to reopen the vital Burma Road.

Tune in today on our Twitch Channel at 8 PM GMT where Richard Yorke will show you the new DLC.

After downloading Valor & Victory: Pacific, do not miss the chance to sign-up to the new tournament “Pacific DLC Tournament”. You can sign-up here.

The tournament follows Swiss Tournament rules: you can find the full list of rules here.

The first round will commence on Tuesday, 14th December 2023 at 9am GMT. No further entries can be accepted after the tournament has begun. The tournament will last 3 rounds, 23 days each. Games are paired, so each matchup will be played both ways. All you need to do is sign up, then the system will pair you with opponents and create your PBEM games. You will be notified by mail of when the tournament is starting and when it will be time to play your turns.

To celebrate this moment, the DLC will be part of the Valor & Victory complete bundle. If you don't own Valor & Victory yet, you can buy the base game and the DLCs with a 10% off discount. If you already own the base game or the DLC, or both, you can buy the games you are missing and complete your collection with a 10% discount.

And be warned all, you can't design any scenarios involving the Japanese. For many of us this is a very sad disappointment.

To celebrate the release of V&V Pacific, a new scenario in the Workshop pitting the Japanese and Soviets against each other in the Kuril Islands.
Enjoy,
Rico.

Not sure what you mean here cholerajohn as you can design scenarios with the Japanese if you have the Pacific DLC.

Bought it and played it a little and so far i like what I see. The sounds are very well done and appropriate. I fired up LnL Heroes of the Pacific to compare and the map and sounds of VnV is better. The game play in VnV is cleaner.

Overall I would be hard pressed to pick a winner between the 2.

Would have liked to seen more scenarios and looks like map editor is not available.

If VnV would add multi level building and tunnels and sewers, it would swing the favor towards VnV.

As it is though, its a lot of fun and a change from Combat Mission.
