I guess out here in the Navajo Nation we should think of Thanksgiving as the anniversary of the start of genocide against Native Americans (read a big blog article on that point earlier today).

However, judging by the number of Turkeys flying out the freezer, the turkey shoots, turkey bingo, turkey trots, and other Thanksgiving related events going on, I would have to say that most Native Americans are quite happy to join in the festivities

So...

Happy Thanksgiving from the heart of the Navajo Nation!
