Within the past few days, there seems to be a new fashion trend here on the forum. I am not sure if it is by design or accident: Avatars have changed and become more simple or smaller, and the banners (in the signature area) have become stripped down or non-existant. Examples are LargeSlowTarget (no island girls!) irrelevant (no cruiser, but a nifty sniper kitty), Terminus (half of sig banner gone) and others, i think...

Is this a new fashion trend, or was it by a request from Matrix? (If the latter, i seemed to have missed it...)

Not a request by Matrix. I actually had two banners, and simply got bored with looking at one of them.

No worries, I didn't change my sig pic, just sometimes disable 'add signature' when making OT, stupid or otherwise unimportant posts, or when repeatedly posting in the same thread. As long as nobody complains, I'll keep the girls.

No complaints from me on this!

So, since it is not a Matrix request, maybe it is just a *sort* of "fashion trend"

Alas, the last guy who did that got the pic removed in about a minute, plus (iirc) a reprimand (and maybe temporary suspension) from Matrix. Something about a beer ad, i think.

Much as I support the idea, that would probably result in a "request from Matrix"...

Well, since they've got a fishing net, I'd say "probably"...

Or coming back from fishing? Looks sorta like a fine-meshed net in the front of the boat.
