(Note--the following is written with tongue-in-cheek--most of what I write is outright fabrication, and the rest is to taken with a healthy dose of salt.)

At my workplace, which is dominated by females, a current trend of conversation is how worthless men are, with the added jibe of how wimpy men have become. They only say these things in public when they have the advanatage of numbers (in the smoking area at my workplace, the women outnumber the men more than 10 to 1. )

I tend to keep silent, as my masculine mind is occupied with matters of high importance ("the Otters have lost ten in a row--how can they get back into the playoff picture? <or> damn, what IS that crazy noise my car makes every time I start it? <or> did I remember to save that last battle BEFORE I screwed up and suffered a decisive defeat, so I can go back and save my butt?" )

See, the women have been trying to foist upon the males all of their natural responsibilities, thus minimizing the role of the male in resolving the vital issues of the day. This manifests itself in requests such as "don't forget to pick up cat-litter for Spunky" or "your daughter has a meeting of the Cookie-Cutters tonight, and YOU gotta take her".

Yes, the female of the species is doing their best to feminize and emasculate the rightly-dominate male, and we enable them by kow-towing to their demands just to ensure that we can assert our position later that night.

Even in matters so trivial as "what's for dinner", we often get interrupted at our workplace by phone calls that belabor the obvious--<ring ring> "Hello". Female: "What do you want for dinner tonight?". Male: " How would I know? You're cooking it. Whatever you want is fine with me." Female: "Ok. How about ordering out? Is Chinese OK?". Male, perking up:" Yeah, that sounds great." Female: "Well, I'll call Wing-Fang's, and you can pick it up on the way home. By the way, Spunky needs some cat-litter..."

Man you must have had a BAD day around women.

Oh, wait, that sounds like my life, wife and women I know. You have got it right. I wonder how the feMALES think they got here without the male partner?. My wife just told me that since she works so much and I travel quite often then we should have someone clean the house twice a week. I glanced up from a battle on the Russian front(SPWAW) and did the only thing I had time for-I said "Ok, whatever you want dear". BZZZZZZ wrong answer. It turns out-after 20 minutes of "talking" that she just wanted my appreciation for all she does. Being intelligent I nodded at everything she said, so I could get back to conquering Russia. BZZZ wrong thing to do. She said "I knew you would just nod and agree with anything I said". She went somewhere. If anyone sees her, tell her to take her time coming home. I never win.

"I hate newspapermen. They come into camp and pick up their camp rumors and print them as facts. I regard them as spies, which, in truth, they are. If I killed them all there would be news from Hell before breakfast."- W.T. Sherman
