Scen 15 patched 1.21.

I just wasted a lot of PP's changing them to CENTPAC and after the turn, computer had changed them back. I know they were there historically. But I'm on Saipan and I want them to stay CENTPAC.

Do you have the commander of that region of the map set to "Computer Control"? Do you have the North Pacific set to "Computer Control"?

Either might cause the computer AI to grab back that unit from you.

That's the problem with SW on computer control it reurns the B29's to Southeast. I have had the North Pacific turned off because of the convoy problem.

One thing I noticed in the session I am playing at the moment is that I changed a sub-unit to SWPAC command from ABDA and the parent was displayed as changing also.
But on the next turn, both were back at ABDA.[with the PP cost wasted]
IIRC the sub-unit was in a Computer controlled zone.
I ended up putting both the parent and subunit under human control until the subunit was merged back into the parent. I left the unit under human control so that the AI would not steal it back.

I think the AI tries to keep a unit assigned to the HQ it started with, when under AI control.
