I used to play Steel Panthers way back in the day. So I was very excited to find it again. Anyway it seems like the computer takes an extrodinary long time to make its turns I am paying a early german campaign and I would guess that the last computer turn took at least 5-9 minutes? Can I speed it up I don't remember turns being that long before. Also do we no longer get the cool video campaign breifings??

Yes, they tend to take a little bit longer to watch when the enemy is up. Try turning Fast Artillery to "ON" in your preferences. That will help with that part in it. There is no toggle for decreasing the amount of combat animation you see, though. You can also set movement delay to xxx and it will appear more like SP2 did.

Turn down the message delay too. After you play for a bit you get what they say anyways. I play on 30 withh 100 being one second. Now 100 seems like I could read a book while waiting...

Welcome aboard!

Five to nine minutes is way too long, especially early in a campaign. What MHz are you running on your computer? SPWAW is pretty forgiving as far as computer types, but the new version, 8.0, seems a bit slower than the older version, 7.1. Assuming you are running 8.0, if you have the space on your hard drive you might want to consider installing 7.1 and see if it is any faster.

Just a suggestion--and welcome!

My computer isn't super fast but i wouldnt think it would be a problem I will check those options. Was kinda dissapointed when it was taking like 1-2hrs to finish some early levels.
