I am struggling with that and find the manual confusing:
from what I guess, I´d say that using uncertainty means that you discover part of the value of a unit (the loaded dice) only after a couple of fights. Is that right? And does that mean, that on a certain point the value of the "loaded dice" is fixed and from then on you know (at least partly) what you can expect from that unit? Since I see a lot of changing figures even after let´s say half a dozen fights, I am not sure, if my interpretation is correct, or if the loaded Dice always is and will stay an uncertainty, which for me would spoil the whole thing.
Anyone able to answer that out there?

I think the loaded dice have more probability to give around a high value or low value, according to a secret parameter than you can begin to guess after more fight.

Thanks Stelteck.
Anyone out there with more than a guess and an exact definition - i think this is quite an important matter, since, if u choose uncertainty rule, this is used in EVERY fight, isn´t it. So we shouldn´t be left guessing around, what it means.

I think it is better to turn off this option. For me it is confusing.

I turn it off. As I am still learning all the rules and units effectiveness.

The concept is one die roll is fixed. It will always be the same. After a number of rolls, you will get a good grasp of whether it is a good or bad die. Units with good die are performing at a high level in this battle and those with a bad die at a lower level. Over time, you recognize which units are performing better and try to use them for important tasks. The opposite applies to units with a poor fixed die roll. That is the general concept as I understand it. It also helps differentiate units of the same type. Instead all vanilla, there is some variation in units even though they may be exactly the same in stats.

Thanks, Jagger 2002, that helps. So I was right in guessing, that with uncertainty you discover the "value" of a unit after a couple of fights and from then on it is fixed in that regard. Well.

I am not sure you really want to know, but basically each unit rolls a 2d6 to determine what kind of loaded dice it gets.
