For a deeper look at the topic, anyone interested can read this.

Why is Othello black?

I take a look at your text and concluded pro-English written text shouldn't be historically document or reference point. As I've mentioned before in another topic "Emrah Sefa Gürkan wrote a book about about "Pirates for the Sultan: Holy War, Booty and Slavery in the Ottoman Mediterranean, 1500 – 1700, İstanbul: Kronik, 2018 (Italian, Spanish and Bâb-ı Âli (Constantinople) archieves are used.)

Pirates in Ottoman Empire was mercenaries from Europe (from nations with sailing skill and have no jobs) and also some have Barbary origin, Muslim ones eating pork and celebrating others religion holy dates not typical religious practices we see today. There were many converts just like we see in politics and Inquisition was after them. They catch some of them, some change religion 3 times. And for Janissary land force as Balkan origin Christians some of them didn't see them as slaves. Some families did want wealth and career and they send their kids voluntarily.

But I think the link does a good job of portraying the perspective of Shakespeare when he wrote and what he meant. I am a little confused but think you are saying Shakespeare had an incorrect perspective on "blacks" or "Moors." That would likely be true, and I'm not arguing that that point. My job in teachng Othello was to attempt to have students understand what Shakespeare meant. It was an English (literature) class not a history class.

I understand yes it is about literature main point.

"There was no word for Muslim at the time. They used Turk, Mosselman, Mohammedan, these are all synonyms.” This is not totally incorrect. OE sultans especially in 15-17 century used "Khalifa" and "kayser-i Rûm" titles at the same time to get influence, loyalty, friendship from both Arab world and Europeans.

Incorrect part was OE was never a naval nation and the privateers or pirates in Mediterranean they meet weren't Turkish origin. Such as great admirals Like Occhiali, Turgut Reis , Piyale Pasha etc.. But they converted to islam to be admiral. Sailors was hard to get and typical Anatolian Turks weren't sailors as they have no skill in sailing.

Saw the new James Bond, No Time to Die:

Review (no spoil) --- The 007 franchise, is not your childhood James Bond. Put on your thinking caps and have some patience, this puppy is 2hr 40minutes long. Lots of characters and lots of plot. Target audience is the hardcore fan. Scenery, weapons', and violent cast delivers respectable action movie.

Devil still lying and accusing me
Trying to drag down what has been redeemed
But I'll stand my ground, stare into his face
And fight back with the power in Jesus' name, Jesus' name
