after Entente 9, the artillery is firing non-stop but running out of shells!!
Note the full combat round, each round takes approx. 1/5 of total, so I move ground units only 1/5 of move points, fire artillery, move another 1/5 MP, fire artillery, rinse, repeat. But in say FitE2 this technique much harder, there is 1/4 of move points then fire, repeat. Very important w/re/to rail move, in FitE2 embarked gets 277 MP but use only 1/4 at a time unless emergency and then only 1/2 if need be, makes for better round management :)
PS in olden days when we played army men war in big field, we used "dirt clods" as artillery (no hard rocks allowed!!! no beaning opponent!!!) LoL the softer and drier the dirt clod the better, b/c they made more "smoke and dust" when they hit :) was gold to find a "big mama" dirt clod, was like giant rail gun shell :) if you could heave it, that is ... we were only about 8 years old :)
