Headlines being what they are this week, I took a look at the Iron Dome system in CMO. It seems that the Hamas rockets don't count as guided weapons in CMO and don't have units/contacts associated with them... hence they can not even be targeted by Iron Dome (or any other SAM that I am aware of) at all. Is that WAD? Perhaps there is a better short-range rocket in the DB that can be targeted?

The FROG-7b, SS-1b, and Zelzal-1, Zelzal-2, and Tondar-69 all might work. None of them are perfect representations, but each's terminal descent velocity is within the engagement envelope of the Tamir interceptor, their type in the database allows them to be targeted by Tamirs, and they seem to have about the right range for the targets Hamas and PIJ attacking.
