Recently bought the game and thought about posting a short AAR of the first mission. It was quite a quick and aggressive playthrough.

Time (min:sec)
- 01.05: We've lost two tanks. One in the woods northeast of Makikyla and one to the north of Huovila. These we're hit by armor north of Etola. Our own armor dealt with that armor around the same moment.
- 03.15: Enemy armored activity spotted on the plains between Tolkkila and Etola. HE FRAG adjusting on the woods and roads south of Tolkkila.
- 10.55: One tank platoon is taking defensive positions at the embankment facing Tolkkila. Another between Alakyla and Huovila. These tanks destroy some infantry southwest of Tolkkila and in the woods southeast of Tolkkila.
- 13.23: Our mortars lay down smoke. One mechanized company crosses the river in the west. Followed by a tank platoon. We destroy three armored vehicles northeast of the 'crossroads west' victory point.
- 17.38: Heavy fighting near the 'crossroads west' victory location. Our mechanized infantry unloads and opens fire at targets in the woods northwest of the VP.
- 17.54: Our tanks across the river provide covering fire and inflict some damage on the enemy.
- 18.40: Heavy fighting continues at the 'crossroads west' VP. Our mechanized infantry leads the assault, covered by one mortar platoon.
- 21.30: Incoming fire from the fields northeast of 'crossroads west'.
- 23.32: 'crossroads west' is ours! Mortar fire took care of some remaining infantry units in the three urban area's southeast of the VP.
- 28.56: While advancing to the second VP, our mechanized forces encounter enemy fire coming from the south of Tolkkila. One mechanized company advances in the wedge formation towards the second VP. Supported by two tanks.
- 37.05: We advance cautiously towards 'crossroads south' and receive some enemy fire from the woods northeast of Varala.
- 39.51: Our mortars open fire on the eastern edges of the woods near the 'crossroads south' VP. Infantry squads close in on the VP, covered by the mortars and a tank in an overwatch position northeast of the woods.
- 54.43: The second objective, 'crossroads south' is ours! One mechanized company takes up positions at the edges of the woods around the VP. A second company secures the fields east of the VP, supported by a tank platoon.
- 1.05.10: Our last tank platoon crosses the river after leaving the overwatch position south of Makikyla. It drives towards Etola to deal with the last enemy resistance pockets.
- 1.17.08: Major Victory. We inflicted 111 infantry and 12 vehicle casualties on the enemy and lost 31 infantry and 13 vehicles.

I love the game, which fits in the gap between the close combat series and larger strategic game series.
Overall a more cautious approach could have prevented some of our vehicle losses, which were relatively heavy. But not bad for a first playthrough.

I'd love to upload some screenshots, but keep getting error messages...
