Hello, Noob to the game here...

Been a table top war game fan since high school. "Tactics", "Axis & Allies", remember them?

Am getting back into it (PC games) and have found this game. Absolutely love it. However, I can't find a nice layout of Pre-Nato and Nato icons WITH the description that applies to them.

I know what the overwhelming majority of them are but for the few detailed / specialty units, would like to have a description. The Game's Manual has a picture of them but not labeled.

Can anyone provide or point me to where I can get a nice graphic of the units contained in the game, with descriptions?

Thank you in advance.

So sorry for not being clear. The game I am refering to is The Operational Art Of War IV.

And, thanks much for all the help and direction. Much appreciated.

Should have asked here:

https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=1514

Then you would have been told to look for the icons in section 16.1 of the manual.

Manuals? They have of those at Milan's Museum of Natural History, but now the building is closed due to the pandemic.

Read The Field Manual!

That is the user manual of whatever device it is. Check there first, if the answer is not found, then ask questions.

FM 31-70 Basic Cold Weather Survival Manual

Subject: Good research. Some current, some out of date.
This is your basic DOW/DOD field training manual from the 60's for cold weather survival. Much of it is good common sense while some of it has been outdated by newer tech and other advancements. But for general era military research or if your trekking through the snow with a M1A/M14 or trying to light a Yukon stove its a must have.

Yes, my mistake in where I posted has been pointed out to me.

But had you read my original post in it's entirety, you would have seen the below -

quote:

I know what the overwhelming majority of them are but for the few detailed / specialty units, would like to have a description. The Game's Manual has a picture of them but not labeled.

I looked in the manual at 16.1 and the icons do not have labels on them.

What was that about RTFM?

Also.... I do love SPAM. Grilled with BBQ sauce on Beefsteak Rye thank you.

Read The Field Manual, that pertains to the manual that comes in the game. Too many people do not do that when the answers are in the manual.

Also, if you would have posted on the proper forum area, you may have received an answer sooner.

Your original post had your total posts at 1 and you asked about a game and did not mention what it was. That's how your typical spam post looks. Just sayin.

Game on dood.
