Updated Below

This a prelude scenario to "To Kill the Queen, 2022" and represents the opening of the PRC-Japan/American conflict. It is predominantly an Amphibious Operations/Combat Cargo Scenario, everything else (and there is a lot else) is really just getting there. Only points are for taking Japanese out islands and taking airports.

PLEASE read the description and notes. Really you have to read them! just saying!

JGSDF Units were just sitting there watching the cool fireworks, I reset their doctrine. To be honest I saw it in other play tests but it didn't register who to fix it. Now they should actually defend the islands!

Update 02-23-2021

Major Changes to A/I, (Allies - U.S./Japan) Doctrine and WRA. Hopefully, they perform better much better now. I got chopped up in my landings last night so I think the A/I is playing better.

Hi dude. I have subscribed your two scenarios on Steam workshop. They are extremely impressive indeed. However, there is something makes me confused.

First, why there are 053 FFGs in the Shandong CVBG(which is quit strange) ? How about replace them with 054a FFGs and 052d DDGs?
Second, the JASDF Naha AB doesn't have F-35 fighters deployed in the real world but you deployed them in the scen.
Third, there is enough evidence showing that the YJ-12 supersonic ASMs have already widely used by PLANAF's H-6Gs and H-6Js. Then why they still use KD-63 and YJ-100 subsonic ASMs (which are low in efficency)?
Forth, J-20 fighters have been in servive since 2017 and are being manufactured for years. And according to the open-source intelligence, they are serving in at least two air brigades in the East Theatre. So will the number of J-20 provided in Ryukyu 2022 be a little small?

Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

Nice that someone has put them on Steam. I've never used it so it is somewhat a mystery to me.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them.

Well as I spend most of my time confused, welcome to the club!

The Shandong's CSG includes...
1. Type 055 Destroyer
1. Type 052B Destroyer
1. Type 052D Destroyer

Now according to an article in "The Diplomat" the Shangdong has been accompanied by...

"While the PLAN has not officially elaborated on the composition of its new carrier strike group, the Liaoning during past operations has been escorted by a Luyang III-class (Type 052D) guided-missile destroyer, a Luyang II-class (Type 052C) guided-missile destroyer, a Jiangkai II-class (Type 054A) guided-missile frigate, and alternatively one to two Yuan-class (Type 039A) or Song-class (Type 039) submarines."

https://thediplomat.com/2018/06/chinas-1st-carrier-strike-group-reaches-initial-operational-capability/

https://thediplomat.com/2019/12/chinas-second-aircraft-carrier-a-sign-of-pla-naval-muscle/

The Type 053 series were just vessels to augment the CSG. I do see your point and if I update the sceanrio I will likely replace them with one or two Type 054s.

quote:

Second, the JASDF Naha AB doesn't have F-35 fighters deployed in the real world but you deployed them in the scen.

So this is simple, the JASDF’s forward deployed them to Naha when the conflict began. Air forces forward deploy Air Expeditionary Groups all of the time. I don’t see an issue here.

ACTUALLY, it looks like a rebuild to the latest database wiped out the Magazines for the scenario! No airfield has any reserve load outs. I have seen this before when there is an incompatibility between the original database and the new one. I’ll attach the original Zip File.

I had to cut back on a lot of aircraft to make the scenario manageable. If you look at the J-7s and J-10s you’ll notice they are about ½ of what they should be. In large scenarios you need to make compromises.

Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

Yeah the DELTA file on this one is corrupted. May be that the old V487 version might just be it for this one. This happened to me with Arctic Tsunami and it was never salvageable.

Dang! THIS IS WHY I NEVER CREATE SCENARIOS WITH BETAS! But is was sooooo long between releases that I made an exception. To Kill The Queen is small enough that it might be salvageable. Here is the V487 version I submitted.

FIXED SEE BELOW...

To Kill The Queen, 2022: OK that was a problem I could fix!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for telling me! My mistake, I didn't include the PRC Version Delta file but did include the western version. Here it is entirely rebuilt...

C:MO 1147.23 Db3000 v488 attached! Also will post in Ready Scenarios for the next community pack update.

Ryukyu Islands, 2022: Delta file issue with the scenario is fixed. It was a guid error on one of the units.

As for other issues recently brought up I have two scenarios in playtest right now. When I finish them I will look at the suggested changes.

Hi, it's me again. The message below is about <Shandong lashes out> . For some reason I can't post the message under that thread (It said that I can not post links or phone number but I didn't include anything. It may be a bug). Anyway.

Shandong lashes out is quite an interesting one. I have quickly browsed the scen and here is my suggestion: How about replace the J-15Ds with JD-15s? Since the former ones only got COMINT jammer which is no use in commercial version. Only the JD-15 can perform OECM mission. Thanks.

Reasonable, and done. as this is a minor change I'm just submitting that scenario.

Ryukyu Islands, 2022...

I've been missing in action as I've had some medical issues so it has taken some time get to those other Ryukyu Islands, 2022 scenario changes.

I am looking at this...

quote:

Third, there is enough evidence showing that the YJ-12 supersonic ASMs have already widely used by PLANAF's H-6Gs and H-6Js. Then why they still use KD-63 and YJ-100 subsonic ASMs (which are low in efficency)?

...and I think that is a database issue, not a scenario issue. I load some of each munition the aircraft can take at each base. I think you might need to submit this issue to the developers.

I removed three (3) Type 053's and added one (1) Type 054 Frigate from the Shandong CSG. Thanks for the suggestion.

I will leave the F-35s and J-20s as they are for reasons pointed out above.

So the updated file with the new Shangdong CSG is attached, it this closer to what a 2022 PLAN CSG Should look like?
