Can Reinforcement/Repair be conducted while not accepting upgrades for a unit with the current system ?

If not, a suggestion to separate these if possible .... there are times where I'd want to replace losses but choose to NOT upgrade select units .....

According to this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy9r5m0GZ1g

reinforcement occurs first, so you can control whether upgrade ever occurs by turning off reinforcement/upgrade for the unit once it is reinforced to the desired level.

+1 I have often wanted to separate these two functions out to give the player more control.

It's the equivalent of being able to reinforce all your second rate German coastal garrisons with captured French equipment, rather than sending them Panther tanks at the same time

What I do is I send injured units back to the Western front and turn replacements off. The enemy doesn't notice the difference.

Tech is also reflective of tactics and organization not just equipment.

So I'm guessing the answer is given the current game design this isn't worth the effort to separate ?

+1 here as well. Would be a great improvement if one could separate reinforcements and upgrade.

Reinforce first then upgrade.
At the moment I can't add this change because it is major coding of the UI and end of turn cycle.

What I do is I buy units with 1939 tech, disable repair, send them to garrison, set garrison status. Or just replace these units with Italian ones as garrisons.

Fair enough ..... One general question though .....

Lacking a Priority listing for any given unit .... is there an order of preference relative to reinforcing vs upgrading ? Yeah, I understand the reinforcement comes first follow by upgrading for a SINGLE unit .... What about the case where one has a boat load of units performing this ... Will anyone (after reaching full strength) perform their upgrade while other units and still in the reinforcement mode ? ie do ALL units need to be reinforced first before ANY upgrades occur ?

Page 30 and 31 of the new manual.

Units get reinforced and upgraded at the same time per unit.

So a priority unit will get both before a normal one.
