In a PBEM game, we had a winter situation that I am not sure is what is intended.

All of Holland was Heavy Rain so no invasion was allowed...EXCEPT the beach hex next to Rotterdam was clear. So I was able to invade, and take Rotterdam during a Heavy Rain turn.

I have seen this elsewhere where the beach is a very different weather pattern than the land/coastal hexes.

Perhaps this is working as designed, but I wanted to bring it up in case that is not the case.

This was the production release - 1.00.073

The question is whether that is intentional. If trying to stop invasions in bad weather months, it probably shouldn't be that way.

I think that it's intentional. As far as I undrstand it, hexes with more land than sea have the weather inlands, meanwhile hexes with more sea than land have the weather of the sea surrounding it.
But of course, I can be wrong.

If this is a PBEM game and the Allied player...

If he left that city open.... it is their fault.
If he didn't have a patrolling fleet on the East side of the UK... it is their fault.
If he left Brussels without a unit in it and you just walked right in... it is their fault.

I do regret making beaches. Next version will have no invadable beaches. Opposing sides will stack on the same invasion hex.
I can't tell you what a nightmare it was to work out beach/coastal logic trees for humans and the A.I.

Good idea but prone to problems in practice like this.

Thanks Alvaro. This was actually Winter early 1944 Axis player mistake.
