This is taken off the Steam thread, because, well it is a massive good deal.

That's a really lousy deal because...I already have most of them.

Can you gift the games? Some to one person, others to another?

I already have most of them but I sometimes make efforts to get other people interested in games. This was easier when there were shops with second hand old games - I must have bought and given away half a dozen copies of Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis.

Fanatical provide the game with Steam keys (no standalone keys), so you should be able to distribute those keys to other Steam users.

I took the plunge. Plus a chance on a couple of other keys as well. A free games that looks like it is for children. I wonder if I should try to teach my kittens to play, especially since she likes to lay across the keyboard although I ask her to give me a chance to move the computer.

Hmm. I already own 3 of them. I wouldn't mind picking up the others. I'll have to think more about it. I just don't want to end up with a bunch of games I won't play.

Well, I pulled the trigger. I think I just bought 16 games that are going to sit untouched in my inventory. Looked at a few of them and haven't figured out what to do in the games yet. Alae Jacta Est is very confusing to me. I don't think I've ever played anything like it. So I can't figure it out.

Yes, well, the steam client wants to update. Unfortunately, after so long it resets and keeps doing so until it craps out.

Sovereignty is an excellent type of game, but the devs abandoned it and after just spending a few hours in it... it's buggy. I had forgotten I had the game then after seeing it in the package deal, I played it. The discussion group on Steam said it was full of bugs but I wanted to not believe that to be true. It's true. What a shame...

There are a bunch of other games though in this package that are great! You should have hours upon hours of enjoyment.

I found a download with the full steam client here:

https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-70759/Steam-Client-with-Full-Steam-Cache-Win32/download

But now it won't update.

It can't connect to the server.

Firewall?

Could be. Several months ago, I ratcheted up our router firewall from Medium to High security. This blocked connections to the Steam server(s). It took me a while to make the mental, um, connection. Restoring Medium security resolved my Steam access issue.

It could be. I also might have to make an exception in Avast and Malwarebytes although I don't like to do that.
