Turn 49: July 4, 1941

Yugoslavia and Portugal surrender.

German troops move near Turkey, and the Italian fleet blocks passage around Africa. Suspicious.

Airplanes, ground troops and all fleets set sail from the UK headed south.
UK builds a large corps. US builds a large corps.

Turn 48:

DOW'ing a country before you are ready to attack it is completely stupid. No upside and several downsides. Even worse than delaying Barbarossa until '42

Re Turkey, are you going to have a house rule like we did to address the set-up mistakes?

I don't think it will be possible to save Turkey, but we will delay as long as possible.

Canada builds an escort, the UK builds a large corps.

LS wasted the Italian alpine XXX. If he'd put it on the Syrian coast, he would have stopped any allied troops from railing into Turkey for a least 1 turn and probably 2. Alternatively, taking that little undefended turkish port would probably have been even more effective.

That mountain corps is still blocking my use of the rail line. So it does annoy me, but yes, very costly for Italy.
