the scenario suggested by HalfLifeExpert!
Seven (7) days into the conflict NATO is attempting to shepherd Norwegian Naval vessels, which were under maintenance when the war broke out, to England. Did have some A/I issues with the NATO convoys not being able to set a course/speed due to the all the turns to get to Portsmouth & Plymouth. So had to set a path for the A/I which the Human player can delete. My play tests have been a mixed bag...
In one the NATO convoy coming out of Bodo was butchered. (NATO Human)
In a second the Russian subs were destroyed leaving NATO pretty free to escape with a few lost ships. (Russian Human)
In a third it was a draw. (Russian Human)
Not totally happy with it yet. One thing I may do, based upon response, is to move the Russian SAG further southwest (along with the USS North Dakota). So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

After the onset of Russian military operations against Norway it was decided to move Norwegian Vessels under maintenance to Royal Navy ports and shipyards in the United Kingdom. Norwegian and British yard workers worked 24/7 to get as many of the vessel’s systems up, and propulsion back online. By the 14th escorts were in place and the exodus to the UK ready. Unfortunately, HUMINT and signals intelligence tipped off the Russians and nuclear/conventional submarines were placed in intercept positions, Backfire bombers readied and a small surface action group hastily rearmed, readied and placed underway. President Putin wants those convoys destroyed at all costs. NATO Likewise must shepherd the cripples to the UK at all costs.
Units with down systems had had those mounts or sensors removed. Make sure you look closely at availability of mounts and sensors for your Norwegian vessels.
Only ships and submarines count for Victory Points (VPs), so aircraft down for maintenance or repair have been removed.
There are two ways to gain/lose VPs, 1. sink a vessel or 2. reach the Plymouth or Portsmouth boxes.
The vessels off the SW coast of Norway are tasked with sailing to Portsmouth
The vessels near Bodo are tasked with sailing to Plymouth (both assignments are to spread out the shipyard duties).
If a NATO vessel arrives and stays in the box for one (1) hour, NATO gains points and Russia loses points.
Please do not delete the locked Portsmouth/Plymouth Box reference points (or no points!)!
There are (A/I) Norwegian alert F-35s and an (A/I) Russian AAW-CAP over the Nordkapp area. The Russian AAW-CAP is to keep the F-35s from just ambushing the MPA as they round Nordkapp. These aircraft have limited loadouts for AAW only, that is deliberate, please do not add ARM/Ground munitions.
Weather is good. Light middle level clouds 10-16 kft with Wind/Sea State 3.
Where are the USAF/UK Royal Air Force fighters and multirole aircraft? Simple answer, engaged in the Baltics and Poland.

I was Navy, but Assigned TAD to the 24th MAU Hq in Beirut. By far the finest period of my service!
