The attacking axis division is 84 morale, with low fatigue levels, all in command range of hq's. It was a hasty attack. So why is it losses so high?? (turn 64)

I know high fatigue levels increases losses and lowers CV rolls. And yes no air support and no art support. Also high morale division seem to have lower losses than high morale divisions. (Especially notice that with panzer divisions). And yes hasty attack will increase losses when compared to deliberate attacks.

But attacking a brigade size unit thats in the clear and isnt in a fortified position seems high for losses.

I imagine its just the RNG factor.

Do soviets rockets cause higher casualties??

Or is it lack of at weapons???

I reckon its......Russians, not rockets, sorry too much wine....

So attacking a Motorised Brigade you use the Mech rating of 3 from Recknagel?

I think the rating is of the unit commanded, not the unit attacked? As 5th Jaeger is non motorised it would have used his infantry rating which is good.

I do like the high casualties from a realistic standpoint that those soviets units fought outstandingly and caused a bloody fight.

I dont think its a lack of AT guns as the 5th jager division has 22 of the 75mm pak 40 and 15 50mm pak 38.

Just wanted to check if there was something behind it.
