The Italian SUB find the Allied convoy (Axis 2, Allies 4).

Italy go with surface combat, and uses all surprise points to increase the damage done. How will Allies handle the D and aborts? And will Allies remain in the sea area?

One light cruiser is damaged, and both are aborted. One French CP is aborted as well.

Both sides miss the second time in CSV (Axis 7, Allies 4).

What ports will the aborted ships enter (1 CL, and one French CP)?

French CP can go to Mogador (think that's how it's spelt). It's on the African coast.

Did you miss post 190?

Yes. Sorry about that.

And I hope that the CP being sent to Mogador in Morocco is good enough. (The CP could have been intercepted en-route Oran anyway)

That's okay - and Mogador was AllenK's call - I only answered as I didn't see him around and we have an agreement to move things along in the absence of our playing partners.

Impulse #1 (Axis)

No strategic bombing.

Ground Strike:

Japan:
Nav2 Nanchang->86,142

Germany:
LND2 + LND3 -> Brussels

France can intercept the ground strike with one FTR2. Germany can counter-intercept with 3 FTR2, and one FTR3.

Will France Intercept? If there is no intercept, will France then use their AA on the ground strike?

The 'France First' strategy should be called the 'Dice First' strategy. I was glad to see an attempt at it though. It gets very interesting when Poland hunkers down tenaciously and conservatively.

My current attempt at it is a game heading into the middle of March/April where the Axis have had exactly one Fine weather impulse in the N. Temperate - the very first impulse of the game with the guaranteed weather.

I remember a game where M/A 41 had three fair impulses in the arctic, EVERY impulse from M/J 41 through S/O 41 was fair, and N/D went Fair-Snow-Fair-Snow. The Russians were basically blown off the map. The big problem WiF has is that caused my group to stop playing it is that luck, particularly weather, can determine the outcome, and there is not much the players can do about it.

Only one land combat. Japan assaults hex 87,142. One LND2, from Canton, provide one point in ground support.
