I have found that since I play exclusively Allies vs AI (very rare PBEMs and all those Allied), I have habit not to check any AAR written from Japanese side.

Weird, it's just an habit not to check for "spoilers"...

I liked to look at the other side as now I am trying the Japanese. But still, as an Allied player just playing against the AI, I did look to see just what the Japanese were capable of doing.

When there is a good PBEM match going on, I enjoy reading both side's AAR's. It's very interesting to see how different the perception of the same events can be and to watch one side slowly figure out the intentions of the other side.

Aside from that, I also learn a TON about how to play.

I especially enjoy reading current AARs kept by my former opponents. If available, I'll read both sides. So I'm always reading the AARs of John III and his opponent (currently Anachro, who's doing a great job).

Occasionally I blunder into something else enjoyable that I'll follow. The occasional "wheels come off" game is fun, as in Greyjoy vs. Rader and Lowpe vs. Obvert.

And here I am waiting for your next AAR. Who knows, maybe you can try the new version of John's mod? He sent an email today talking about the new version being near done and ready for testing.

I meant it as a thanks for reading! It was a positive lol. Herb is IMO the best AAR writer in this board since Cuttlefish
