I hate to say this, but this was a poorly written review. The criticisms were odd. Where is this new “knowledge” that French battalions were stopped by British bayonet charges and not by musketry as a matter of course , to be found? Seriously? The guys that design these games have some serious research credentials, they must have missed that forum argument .

The reviewer complained about the c&c rules allowing player to move units as they please...hmm first, very few pc games have “boardgame restrictive” movement rules, so no real surprises there, second and ironically, the author completely ignored the new game function that makes it more difficult to maneuver near enemy units. That’s a pretty big miss imho. Did you even play it?

Graphics? Sure , bitch about them as it’s subjective as hell and you can get away with it. Personally I don’t like the new 3D terrain Tiller is pushing out, its too fuzzy , bubbly and cute for me with happy trees and all, but some like it, but it’s at least optional.

I sense that the reviewer had seen enough tiller games in the past and felt no need to really review this one, and we got a bunch of biased opinions.
