So CapnDarwin and the On Target team - why do I think this is so good? Maybe you don't care about my opinion (and I don't blame you!) but I'm going to tell you anyway...Ha! I'm a wargamer that goes back to the time when Avalon Hill, SPI and GDW were king (in the late 70's) so I've played a lot of Eastern Front games. Every game shows the differences between the Germans and the Soviets numerically - you know, German Panzer Div 12-8, Soviet Tank Corps 9-8. There were a lot of differences in doctrine & equipment between the two sides. In my opinion this Command cycle that your game engine uses can finally truly show the differences between a very flexible & fluid command system and a quantity has a quality all of it's own command system. Maybe this is one of the few game systems that can show the overwhelming superiority of the German tactics early on and the increasing difficulty the Germans had as the Soviets gained parity of tactics and superiority in numbers. At least that's my unqualified opinion anyway. I don't mean any disrespect to the teams efforts in Southern Storm either I do own your first game and will own Southern Storm, but as a historical gamer, NATO vs Warsaw Pact never happened, WWII did and this tends to bias my preferences.
