Amph. Task forces I have 6 units in Mediterranean,
after I landed on Italian mainland, I wonder,
shall I retreat the task forces to England or do I get new task forces units for the Normandy invasion in 1944 ?

You get two more amphibious HQs with naval support to play with by turn 35 (February 1944) However, that's not enough. To properly land in force in France with enough prep time accumulated you'll probably need most, if not all the amphibious HQs currently in the Mediterranean up north in British ports. When and where they go is up to you.

What do you mean the task forces don't have naval support units? They don't have attached units?

What release are you using? What's the date of the scenario file?

As for when to move them to England to prep for Northern Europe invasion, I recommend you move them the same turn TF 'O' and TF 'U' arrive. Then they're all prepping on the same schedule.

For the commando units, you first need to transfer them to a corps or higher HQ near them in one turn, then in the next turn from that HQ's details screen, assign them to the right TF.

Here's a tip. Move your TF next to the HQ of the units it will be supporting, and change the HQ (the flag icon in about the middle of the top menu bar) to that HQ. Then the TF won't pay a penalty for supporting those units in attack. That penalty can range from 6% to 32% (if it's attached to UK Home Forces HQ, for example).

Yes. You can change the assigned HQ for the a unit to be to the nearest HQ. Use the icon in the screenshot or the "g" command.

If a TF's HQ is a high-level command like SHAEF, AFHQ, or UK Home Forces HQ, the naval support loses 32% effectiveness when supporting an attack by a land unit assigned to a corps HQ.

Here's a screenshot of an example. TF 84 is the top most of the three TF's involved in the attack. It's assigned to the 1st CA Army (I changed the army colors, if you're wondering). You pay a 36% penalty on the naval gunfire, compared to no penalty for the other two TF's, which are assigned to V US Corps.
