A horrid example of failing to do all possible to rescue service members after a sinking. The ship did not suffer a magazine explosion like the British Battlecruisers at Jutland - and even a few guys made it off those ships. The torp from the sub broke her back - to think there were no survivors was beyond inept. Though I guess after the horrible losses of the night before nerves must have been quite frayed.

Indy is the other example of a big oopsie. Hey - where is that CA that just delivered bits for the 'bomb'?

The USN should make sure there is always a USS The Sullivans in service. A lot better naming than sucking up to some politician.

Rant off.
