So I started a new game and ran into another surrender bug, this time with the Italian surrender.

This may be related to the German surrender bug I ran into in my first game. The Axis AI endlessly loops and keeps taking one turn after another without ever cycling back to the Allied player turn.

Only way out of this loop is to call up the Task Manager and close the game out.

For whatever it is worth, the AI gave me a harder workout this time around, with the settings at +15% experience and +6% logistics, but I still was headed towards a 1944 win. It just took me a year longer than the 1943 Allied win the first time around at historical settings.

I guess I'll have to try this at max settings and probably be crushed...

I might have to add levels.

I PMed you to send me the save. Might be the same issue. Was Italy last man standing?

I can't send the save, for some reason it's telling me the file is too big to attach to the server. Germany was still standing, Italy got knocked out first this time around. I'm pretty sure this is the same bug as before with the Germans, though.

As for adding levels, don't rush that, lol. I have a feeling that at +30% and max logistics, the AI cannot be beaten. If anything, it lost this game because it again chose the same bad strategy as the first time around, and went after Spain and Vichy. And this time the Germans took Spain and I couldn't hold on to it. The British were simply crushed and lost most of an army in Spain. And they overran all of Africa right up to El Alamein, too, where the British finally held the rampaging Wehrmacht. Ended up having to do a French invasion in 1943 with the USA.

If it had gone east instead, the Soviets would've had a handful in 1941 even at these levels. I am not sure the AI can be stopped at maximum levels on the Eastern front, the panzers will simply roll over the initial garbage Soviet army and by the time the real Red Army shows up it might be too late.

If you have gmail you have a cloud drive. You can put it there and send me a link. Even outlook.com has a cloud drive.

Ok so good you had the mid level of difficulty. So you have more to go lol.

The highest level is called Ubermensch for a reason.

If not get me the log at least.

Disregard emails I just sent you. I accidentally saved over the old game with a current one I'm playing, so I've lost the saved game with the bug on it. Sigh. Sorry about that.

It's cool.

So let me see if I can replicate it. You took Italy out with a negotiated surrender and the game looped correct? This is a new one BTW.
