Playing with pdu off Op report inform of some planes delates for the polo. Some of them have planes in the pool Av so What does it mean?

They are planes that are being sent back to the pool from a squadron upgrade.

There is a delay, they are not available immediately.

I am not sure exactly how the delay is determined. Perhaps it has something to with maintenance/repair requirements, perhaps not.

The report tells you how many became available in the pool that day (and how many are still in transit).

Often if you send 10 planes to the pools in a conversion, one plane might show up available immediately on the same turn while the other 9 show up on a subsequent turn.

Or reappearance can be delayed quite a bit depending on aircraft type and nationality and the disbandment location. The idea is to simulate the aircraft being refurbished before being re-issued to units. In some cases that might mean the aircraft has to go back to the home nation.

I am not certain, but some of the older aircraft seem to disappear from the pools so it might be that they get upgraded to a newer model at the site of manufacture (or they are just deemed obsolete aircraft, are removed from the pools and not available any more). I am thinking of the P-40B (some go to China) and SBD-1 and B-26.
