Gents and Ladies. This is an interesting video about flying over Mt. Everest.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnK_GJf_q6w

Now. Is the ladies name pronounced "Hauston" or "Houston"?

Enjoy

Looks like Jolly Fun!

Everest isn't actually the highest mountain on Earth. Since the Earth is somewhat flattened some Peruvian and Ecuadorian Andes are actually further from the center of the Earth. But what about sea level you say? Since the Earth is ovoid, the hydrosphere and the troposphere conform to that shape (and the Moon helps with that). But if you're still around after the oceans boil away, how will you measure altitudes then? From the center of the Earth, of course. In any case, the gravity on top of those Andes is less than on top of ol' Everest.

From to base to the peak, Hawaii has the tallest mountains.

Surely Denali beats them all to heck. Base is just a few hundred feet above sea level and you've got the better part of 20,000 feet yet to go.

I get it, you're talking about the base at the bottom of the sea.

Still very amazing footage. Thanks for sharing, One could argue Tipo Pale on Saipan as the highest peak in the world with the Marianas Trench. Sea level is the litorial bench mark.
