You set up an attack with cooperative units.
Am I right in thinking that if the PO adds in some long range artillery that have low cooperation then your attack could well be on lower odds ?

If so is there any way to stop this happening apart from making sure all uncooperative units are unavailable to join in ?

The simple answer is no, there is no practical way to stop this from happening. The PO will always try to use all resources at its disposal. In all battles. All the time.

However, you can indeed try to eliminate, or force into reorganization, all PO support forces from participating in a particular combat.

A more rational approach would be to use the PO's predictable behavior against itself. You have the ability improvise, adapt, and overcome. The PO is very limited by comparison. Your brain is by far the biggest advantage you have against the PO.

Are you talking about using PO Assist after you've set up your attack? Then, yes, that will have a negative impact. But if you use PO Assist, you shouldn't expect to play better than the PO.

Don't use PO Assist.
