That caused a storm in a water glass. I'm from Finland, we honor those who died in the service against ally of America (Soviet Union that is), and I don't deny any nationality from doing the same for their own. Not even Russians.

For those who did honorable service, I see no reason NOT to honor them.

You might want to reconsider 'cosplay' as being 'period reenactment'.
