He had along list of film credits. I enjoyed his acting. He was great as the bad guy. He had the look.

He was a great actor and he was not always the bad guy.

He was a good actor that filled his roles believable. Just a quick glance, he had many movies, most reviewed with 3 stars or greater. I'm going to check out some of his overlooked movies to pay homage to his contribution to the industry.

Great actor! Hard to believe most of my favorites have croaked, but then, I'm just an old fart.

"Escape from Sobibor" does not have copyright protection, it lapsed.

A sad loss.

Blade Runner is one of my favourite films.

The same year he did Blade Runner, he played Albert Speer in this one. Note that Ian Holm played Goebbels!

I met him as an elevator operator at the Sherry Netherland Hotel in NYC right around Das Boot. He was quite handsome, but couldn't think of anything to say on the ride down in the elevator. "Dive, Dive!"

Good in Ladyhawke too (another example of him playing a good guy)

Hmmm, I've watched many of his films. As good and bad character. He did a particularly good job at playing the villain was my comment I didn't write that was all he played. You must have misinterpreted my post.

A really great scene - apparently he re-wrote the lines for his character - he kept the reference to attack ships and the Tannhauser gate but then added the rest including "lost like tears in the rain" - it really gave character "Roy Batty" a depth that was completely in tune with the theme of the movie. Brilliant.
